Fourth of July Parade
Join the favorite longtime tradition of the Side Lake 4th of July Parade! Float lineup starts at 9 a.m. and the parade will begin at 10 a.m.
Entry forms are available here or downloaded below. Prizes are awarded to the top four participating groups. You can view the Increment Weather Policy here.
Float entries must be submitted by July 1st in person at the CC Campground, Side Lake Store, or emailed to sidelakeevents@gmail.com. You can also turn them in at registration.
Grand Marshall Nominations
Plans are revving up for our legendary 4th of July parade, and now it’s time to choose someone special to lead the way!
Do you know a hometown hero or community rockstar who deserves some recognition? Nominate them to be this year’s Grand Marshal!
– Send their name and why they deserve a spotlight to SideLakeEvents@gmail.com or message us on Facebook (please be sure to ask them first!) – The deadline is Sunday, June 15th at 5PM!
Firecracker 5K
Lace up and head north for a lighthearted morning walk or run for the 6th annual Firecracker 5K!
We’ll kick things off at the legendary Bimbo’s Octagon, then cruise through a neighborhood so pretty it looks like it was filtered by nature itself — tall trees, fresh air, and that classic “Up North” vibe.
Register by June 15th to guarantee a race shirt! The cost is $25 for ages 0-18 or $30 for over 18. A “no t-shirt” option is available for $15 less during registration.
Same day online registration is open until 8:30AM, but shirts are not guaranteed. Packet pick up begins at 7:00AM.
