Minutes of the July 8, 2025 meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm.
Board members present: Supervisors Reini, Varichak, Kjendle, Clerk Schanche, Deputy Clerk Sandys,
Treasurer Samsa.
The minutes of the June meeting were read and approved on motion by Reini, second by Kjendle. Motion
carried.

Treasurers Report
The Treasurer’s Report was approved as reported on motion by Reini, second by Kjendle, motion carried.

Fire Report
There were 2 fire calls and 8 EMS calls in June.

Road Report
Allan has spoken with the Klavens in regards to cleaning out the gravel erosion on Jaranson Road culvert
washout. They had no problem with cleaning the area out.
Received a quote from Jerulle Construction for $2000 to repair the washout area. After discussion, a motion was made by Reini, second by Kjendle to approve the quote, motion carried.
A quote was received from Jerulle Construction to mow all the Township roadsides in the amount of $3850. After discussion, on motion by Reini, second by Kjendle, the quote was approved.

Recreation Report
Thirty-nine children are currently enrolled. Paula Kangas gave an update on the program.
Paula recommended installing speed bumps on the entrance pavements to slow down traffic.

Old Business
Melissa gave an update on the Paul Bunyan web host.

New Business
Pam Leschak volunteered to write a grant application for Bike/walking path along the roads in the Township. After discussion, no action was taken.
Deputy Clerk Sandys reported that Representative Warwas and Senator Farnsworth would be attending the Town Board meeting on September 9th beginning at 5:30 pm for a question/answer session.

The correspondence was read and approved. On motion by Reini, second by Kjendle, the bills were approved.

The meeting was recessed at 8:04 for a closed session for employee reviews.

The meeting was re-convened at 9:07.

After discussion, a motion was made by Reini, second by Kjendle to order tennis court nets from Do It Tennis for $899, two pickleball nets for $989, and 4 benches and 3 tables from Uline in the amount of $6,015, motion carried.

Motion by Reini, second by Kjendle to adjourn at 9:14, motion carried.
