St. Louis County is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan and is inviting residents, businesses, and community organizations to share how severe weather impacts their lives and property, as well as ideas to reduce future risks. This grant-funded process will assess hazards such as flooding, tornadoes, winter storms, wildfires, and extreme temperatures while identifying local vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. As part of this process, St. Louis County is asking for input from the public to help shape a county-wide, multi-jurisdictional plan aimed at improving resilience, reducing damage, and maintaining eligibility for FEMA hazard mitigation funding.
