As we approach the upcoming property tax meeting on April 30th, here are some points to consider to help prepare for the meeting:
- Since COVID, there hasn’t been an on-site property evaluation, and some properties haven’t had an on-site assessment in over 10 years.
- You can request an on-site property evaluation by a county assessor.
- If you want a thorough evaluation, the county cannot complete a full assessment without accessing the interior of your home.
- To arrange an appointment for a one-on-one discussion and assessment, you must do so before April 20th.
For further details or to schedule your appointment, you can call or send an email or letter stating your request. For contact information, visit the St. Louis County Assessor’s Office (Minnesota) here.
