The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
Board members present: Supervisors Reini, Varichak, Kjendle, Clerk Schanche, Deputy Clerk Sandys,
Treasurer Samsa.
The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved.
Treasurers Report
The Treasurer’s Report was approved as reported, also approved a transfer of $13,000 from General Savings to Road & Bridge Checking on motion by Reini, second by Kjendle, motion carried.
Fire Report
There was 1 fire call and 8 EMS calls in May.
Road Report
All roads got magnesium chloride applied.
The County was notified that the culvert at Jaranson Road and Hwy 5 is collapsed and forcing storm water to drain eastward.
Recreation Report
Thirty children have signed up for the Summer Rec Program.
Notified that Mesabi Bituminous plans on being on site mid month to begin construction of the pickle ball court.
Old Business
After discussion, a motion was made by Reini, second by Kjendle to apply for an account with Paul Bunyan for web hosting and email accounts for $300/year. Motion carried.
New Business
There was a discussion the hiring process for the summer rec leaders.
Advertisements are to be posted with applicants sending in to Paula Kangas. Second part of the process is to ask former leaders from the previous year to return for the current year.
The bills were approved on motion by Reini, second by Kjendle, motion carried.
The correspondence was read.
